EL JETMAN Y EL DC-3 DE BREITLING VUELAN JUNTOS MANO A MANO

Con reminiscencias de la famosa escena de superman, Yves "Jetman" Rossy ha volado en formación cerrada, con el Breitling Douglas DC-3, legendario avion de época. De esta manera se le ha dado  a los pasajeros a bordo una experiencia única de ver al Jetman en acción  por primera vez en pleno vuelo.

Mientras los invitados abordaron la década de 1940, con los aviones de hélice doble y llevó a sus asientos a otra época histórica; Yves Rossy preparó su rígida ala de carbono Kevlar  equipada con 4 motores a reacción y se colocó sobre el patín de un helicóptero AS 350 Eagle. El DC-3 tomó una posición de espera por encima del lago de Lucerna, en el corazón de Suiza, como Yves subió a 6000 pies. Yves comenzó su caída hacia atrás desde el helicóptero, se estabilizó el ala y comprometido de forma extrema con los cuatro motores a toda velocidad alcanzando una velocidad de 205 km / hy una altitud de 4500 pies antes de que él se unió al DC-3, utilizando sólo sus hombros, el cuerpo y las piernas para dirección.

El vuelo duró 7 minutos, antes de que el Jetwing agotó su suministro de combustible e Yves sacó a sus paracaídas para aterrizar sano y salvo en el aeropuerto de Buochs​​.

Pionero de la aviación, Yves Rossy continuamente empuja los límites de vuelo personal, y esta última hazaña se suma a la impresionante lista de logros Jetman, incluyendo: Volar sobre Río de Janeiro, el Grand Canyon West y el Canal Inglés y volando en formación con el equipo de Jet Breitling y Breitling Wingwalkers.

Reminiscent of the famous superman scene, Yves "Jetman" Rossy has flown in close formation, with the Breitling Douglas DC-3, vintage aircraft. Giving the passengers onboard the unique experience to see the world's first jet powered man in full flight.

As the guests boarded the 1940's, twin propeller aircraft and took to their seats; Yves Rossy prepared his rigid carbon Kevlar wing equipped with 4 Jet engines and positioned himself on the skid of an Eagle AS 350 helicopter. The DC-3 took a holding position above Lake Lucerne, at the heart of Switzerland, as Yves climbed to 6000 feet. Yves began his fall backwards from the helicopter, stabilized the wing and engaged all four engines to full throttle reaching a speed of 205 km/h and an altitude of 4500 feet before he joined the DC-3 using just his shoulders, body and legs to steer.

The flight lasted 7 minutes, before the Jetwing exhausted its fuel supply and Yves pulled his parachutes to land safely back at Buochs airport.

Aviation pioneer, Yves Rossy continually pushes the boundaries of personal flight, and this latest feat adds to the impressive list of Jetman accomplishments including: Flying over Rio de Janeiro, Grand Canyon West and the English Channel and flying in formation with the Breitling Jet Team and Breitling Wingwalkers.
